Stream #3 3 babies and mother Rose in Nest 3
3 babies born early morning February 15, 2026 in nest 3! Mother is Rose 🌹, Hana's daughter
Rose and 3 babies live in Nest 3, the same nest she was born in to Hana in summer of 2022.
Nest 4 (cameras shown in the lower right side of screen) is visited by SquirTel's 3 teens born in September of 2025 (our latest litter ever). They only come on cold or wet days and nights.
In February, Rose kicked the teens out of Nest 3 and moved there before giving birth to triplets. In January, Rose used to live in Nest 4 but she had her eyes on her birth Nest 3. At the time, Nest 3 was visited by Mystery and her gang of 4 teens from summer of 2025. Mystery squirrel moved in her 4 babies on Aug 3, 2025. A window into squirrel life
[Real-time smart streams]: Our streams switch views when new animals are detected on cameras inside or near the nest: following squirrels as they move from the nest to nest tunnel and then sit on the branches near the nest.
Channel Q&A
[Real-time smart streams]: Our streams switch views when new animals are detected on cameras inside or near the nest: following squirrels as they move from the nest to nest tunnel and then sit on the branches near the nest.
[Safe nests]: All nests are built to promote healthy life of squirrel occupants. We use solid wood, hide sharp nails behind wire mesh and add predator baffles. We clean and disinfect nests at least yearly.
[How streams work]: This real-time feature is powered by 200 smart security cameras, 4 network video recorders and 8 computers running smart software: the most tech advanced stream in the world!
[Why so many cameras?]: Because how else can we follow the life of these beautiful creatures? Mothers adore and pamper their babies, they recognize and greet their children from years ago and siblings remember each other too (as long as their babies are safe).
[Take control!]: On some streams you can take control of live views inside and outside the nests by typing commands in chat (read stream description).
[Wild squirrels]: We do not domesticate or interact with squirrels in person, nor we approach occupied nests. We do try to protect squirrels from predators: by keeping raccoons and foxes away with smart ultrasound sound alarms and strategically placed fences.
[All donations] and memberships go to nuts and nests for squirrels and birds. In all years of running our channel, we had just one month (Hana!) when YT & donations covered at least half of what we spend on this project. Cameras and nest maintenance are expensive but fulfilling. Enjoy!
