Hana was away for almost 14 (!) hours today. We had a good plan in place but no help from humans can compare to a caring mother squirrel. Hana, you made us so worried! Don’t do it again.
Thank goodness she came back! I was checking in every half hour waiting for her. I was so worried!! Is there a place you post regular updates about the goings-on of everyone, beyond the YouTube streams? Such as Twitter or the like? Knowing you were on the situation would have put me a bit more at ease yesterday! 😅
Yes, that's our first real worry after several years of watching squirrel mothers nurse the babies. They never leave the nest for this long. I hope she had a good reason for that
