species of squirrels on our stream: Eastern Grays!

We belong to Washington DC area, home to 6 species of squirrels. Washington Post article https://www.washingtonpost.com/local/squirrel-week-a-guide-to-dcs-squirrel-species--six-too-many-or-272-too-few/2011/04/05/AFXSZ7kC_story.html   Our channel is a home to gray squirrels who live in our nestboxes https://youtu.be/xScBcjO6IVQ and dine in our cafe https://youtu.be/eATRROsho0I. We’ve never seen DelMarVa fox squirrels or North American red squirrels.  Flying squirrels occasionally show up at night but they don’t live in our boxes.  Eastern chipmunks visit our feeders https://youtu.be/JnF21apH13s and sometimes nestboxes from March to November. Woodchuck used to live under our shed but unfortunately it left before we started streaming 🤷🏼‍♂️ But we have all kinds of Eastern Grays: melanistic (black), gray, gray-brown and even blond ones!

Oct 24: Hana’s 🌸 squirrel children are back in the nest!

Hana’s 🌸 squirrel children are back!  Buddy, Cinnamon and Rose are nesting in SquirrelNest 1 today here https://youtu.be/k59bdxZ4dYA. They look healthy and cute! We’ve seen Hana (nursing mother) and some juvenile squirrels (her children?) in our Squirrel Wonderland https://youtu.be/JnF21apH13s and Squirrel Cafe https://youtu.be/eATRROsho0I, but it wasn’t until today that all three juveniles were spotted playing in the nest together!!!  Let’s hope that they return to this stream every day now https://youtu.be/Hzkf38IgdIY P.S. Many thanks to our moderators for the time stamps, & special thanks to SH!
